Severe Vomiting, Diarrhea, and High White Blood Cell Count!?
The other day(Tuesday) I woke up at 7am and started vomiting (which is unusal 4 me). By 9am I had already puked 3xs so I called my dr and they set up an appt. When I got 2 the dr she said that I probly jus had a virus. She done blood work but she said that she doubts anything would show up since it was probly jus a virus. Around 6pm she called and said that I needed 2 go 2 the e.r and get a c.t scan done cause the blood work showed my white cell count was high and she told the hosp 2 tell her the results asap. I ended up puking 12xs that day. Yesterday she called me and asked when the soonest I could see her was which is 3:15 2day cause I dont have a ride til then. Usually if my test results come back normal they can tel me on the phone but this time she said she needed 2 go over the results with me. Im worrying now cause I dont know what 2 expect. What could be causing these problems? Ive also been running a fever on and off.

It is highly unlikely it is cancer, so don’t sweat that one. I am with the doc on some sort of infection. There are some nasty ones out there, so that might have been the cause of the rush. It is also not unusual for the doctor to decline to give results over the phone.
