Stomach Pain and Diarrhea?
im 13 and my stomach hurts alot and i have diarrhea now wat i do it hurts

Answer by Eveeee
It depends on the severity of the pain. Have you spoken to your guardians about it? How bad is the diarrhea?
Sometimes these things happen and the best thing to do is drink lots of water and get some body salts which are for people of your age to put into water to replace your body sugars ETC. I would also suggest a medicine called “Kaylene and Morphine”. The Kaylene is great for relaxing the diarrhea and the morphine for the pain you’re experiencing. Good luck and feel better!

How long until the flu sets in fully?
So last night I had a headache, this morning I had diarrhea which has been on and off for a week now, my throat hurts the tiniest bit,
My stomach occasionally hurts,
I don’t really have a cough but if I cough i can feel it from the back of my throat.
When does the runny nose an the cough actually set in?
My nephew has diarrhea an vomiting, but I haven’t been near him, so I don’t think it’s what he has…?

Answer by grindl
You can avoid it by drinking plenty of fluids, getting plenty of rest and staying healthy.

Some people would recommend zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin A, or echinachea.

Why sit around and wait to get sick?

Can Gerd(reflux) cause upper abdominal pain and diarrhea?
does anyways else get these sympoms with gerd ?
Thanks scarlet, have him get an upper GI or endoscopy. im doing an endocopy next month..your husband is like me then..i hate this i bet he does to

Answer by scarlet
Yes my husband has gurd and he has horrible stomach cramps and always suffers from diarrhea on a daily basis. He takes medication for it but he says it does not stop the symptoms completely.

Answer by Steve F
Upper abdominal pain – yes. Diarrhea – more likely from a treatment. If it more than GERD, and has gone to an ulcerative state, that would do both those things. See your Doc.

Do you think intestinal parasites?
The reason I wanted to contact you is because I’m a in a bit of stump medically speaking and I hope you would give me some advise. I would be really grateful. I have been developing a very bad stomach and it is very bothersome. It started when I went to Honduras and I’m very convinced it happened after I ate wild raspberries in a farm there, there could have been something else I ate that might have caused it I’m not entirely sure. But I think it had something to do with the raspberries. After about a couple of days, I woke up one night with terrible diarrhea, I felt terrible the rest of the day going to the bathroom 4-5 times and in the evening I got a fever I took some Advil and it finally slowed down and I fell asleep. I woke up the next day only to be racked with body pain and fever once again. A doctor was visiting someone in the house staff and my mother decided to have him check me. He said he thought I either had a bacterial or parasitic infection. He told me to rest and see if I get better. The day after I felt better but still had a stomach ache. I got constipated for about a week. And since I was not terribly ill I just lived with it for a month and a half I just thought I had gotten a regular stomach bug. I Stared alternating from having lots of constipation to very loose stool that had a lot of white things covering it which later I was told was mucous. I would have constant stomach pain especially in the left side of my stomach. Colic, fatigue and gases. I would also have horrible flatulence which I never had before that smelled strange. After two months the pain became worse and decided to go a doctor that was a friend of my fathers. He thought I was suffering from a parasitic infection which is very common in Central America. He decided to do a blood test to see if I had some indication it came back fine but he said the symptoms where clear and he believed I had a parasitic of sorts most probably Giardia. So he gave me a dose of Albendazole 400 mg once and another dose of secindazole 2 grams once. I hate medicine a lot but I was very ill at this point and decided to do what he said to get better and took the albendazole and the next day the secindazole I only took 1.5 because my stomach hurt a lot. I felt better for about a week and stopped having flatulence and had a lot less mucous on my stool had hope I would get cured. I became very constipated but generally better but about 10 days later felt worse than before, I felt like I had a ulcer, my stomach acids churned like crazy. My stomach felt like it was going to burst I felt like vomiting all the time the doctor told me to take another 2 grams of secindole that because I had not taken the full dose some of the organism was still left. After that dose my stomach felt worse and had horrible constipation. I moved to the US 10 days later, and went to see a General practioner, he was convinced I had picked up either a parasite or H. pylori in the third world, he said by hearing my stomach that I was developing a ulcer. He ordered a blood test, and 2 stool tests. The blood test said I had something wrong with my white blood count I can’t remember what. I was very constipated and took a long time to do the stool sample which came back normal. He gave me an anti acid and said I had to do a conloscopy. I did not want to do something so extreme so I went to a gastroenterologist who also did a 2 stool test and breathe test for H. Pylori, which came back clean. He said that the stool test might be off because my stool was constipated and formed. Gave me some laxatives to stabilize and he thought I was recovering from an infection. I just felt worse and worse for about a month till he ordered a CT scan without contrast to see if I had abnormalities in my stomach. My left side hurt this whole period of time mostly the lower part. He found that I had a lot of stool in my colon and some in my appendix and said to eat more fiber in my diet, exercise and take a laxative. I was felling too bad to excerisise much but, put tried the effort. My left side pain just grew worse and took different form and got very bloated just on my left side till my muscles contracted in the back and near the rib cage the doctor got worried and order a ultra sound and x- ray which showed no kidney stones. And did another blood test which everything came back normal. He gave me a stool softener and told me to take twice a day which I have started taking which works sometimes. I asked him if it was possible if I still have bacteria or parasite and he said he thinks I have recovered from it and usually parasites come associated with direaha, although I have read otherwise He said I could do a colonoscopy if the pain keeps getting worse. Do you think I could have a parasite such as a worm of some sort im terrfied of something like this.

The only abnormality found was in one of the blood tests that showed elvated lymphs at 49 and low neutrophils and 1.7 this was when I first cam

Answer by Anne2
You need a colonoscopy to find out what is really wrong. They will give you something to numb the pain, and really with what you have gone through, a colonoscopy will be a piece of cake. And you will find out exactly what is wrong and get treated and will feel so much better. I have had colonoscopys and while it is not comfortable to have, it is really not as bad as you apparently think it is. You need answers, the Doctor needs answers to treat you. Do as the doctor suggests and get one. You will be glad you did, just the worry alone you have had is enough to make you sick.

It’s causing my legs to go numb on the hard toilet too. PAIN :( (

Answer by Jayne Alice
i got that quite a number of times too.. usually happens to me after i have constipation for a few days and then eat a buffet which leads my body to really just go into an outbreak to try to expel the foods… yeah its painful i know ive doubled over in the toilet because of this…

i think it should past with time after the foods have been expelled.. happy pushing :) or you might wanna see a doctor if it goes on for another half an hour or so..

2 1/2 year old toddler has sulfur/rotten egg smelling burps and wet gas/diarrhea?
As the topic states, my 2 1/2 year old toddler has had really wet sounding farts, slight diarrhea and sulfur or rotten egg smelling belches/burps all day. He is acting like his normal active playful self tho.

Little background….
Last week (wednesday when I woke up) I had gotten pretty sick. bad Diarrhea, vomiting, and just plain miserable, that lasted all day. The vomiting stopped Thursday morning, Then Thursday night/friday morning (1 am) my son wakes up vomiting. He only vomited the one time, but all day friday he had VERY bad diarrhea, green/yellow, like a mucusy water, and smelled horrible. But again, acted like himself…didn’t seem sick at all.
He had it for about a day and a half, I had to change his diaper 14 times that day at least. Every time he would fat, a little of the smelly “water” would escape and smelled horrid! It’s been 5 1/2-6 days since he has had any problems. So I am not sure if this is linked to his illness last week. I didn’t take him to a doctor last week since it only lasted one day. Now, his poo isn’t watery, but it isn’t ‘solid’ if you know what I mean. and green……..
Any thoughts?

what are good drinks to drink during a stomach virus?
ok yesterday i found out that i had a stomach virus because of diarrhea and vomiting. well i tried to eat some soup yesterday but threw up so i just need to know what drinks are ok to drink besides water. i have had just a little bit of gatorade and orange juice recently but other thatn that just water so what else is ok to drink during a stomach virus?
is sprite ok because since it is caffine free does that make it ok because i want to have some sprite and i read online that you should avoid caffine but clear liquids are good

Answer by Sixes
Try the Gastro drink. It works well for what you describe. It is only 1/4 of a cup of water and a satchel of powder to drink. Tastes ok and works well.

Either way, keep your fluids up. Sip on water or put some cordial in it for energy. Maybe try flat lemonade.

Answer by kwbshoney
DONT TRY TO DRINK LARGE AMOUNTS OF ANYTH NG AT A TIME BUT SIP FREQUENTLY ON GATORAID OR BROTH OR TEA. STAY WITH JUST THAT FOR APPROX 24 HRS THE GRADUALLY INCREASE YOUR DIET.

Answer by mommacaseyx4
My momma always gave me hot tea (you can add lemon or honey if you want) and plain toast when we were little. Now, I give that to my kids when they are sick. OR 7-up/Sprite and crackers. Tea is better because it doesnt have the sugar that the soda has. BUT try and drink LOTS of fluids! You do not want to get dehydrated (you can tell if you are by pinching your skin on your hand..if it doesnt bounce back right away..you need more fluid)… your body looses fluids w/ the vomiting and diarrhea (and if you have a fever) SO Drink LOTS
Hope you feel better soon!

I am deeply concerned whether chronic pain from stinging diarrhea might be permanent?
I had a massive ventral hernia repair last January.the surgeons cut a lot of my colon out as well as some of my small intestine.Stinging diarrhea is a complicating result.Powders such as colestyramine has not helped much .2 packets still result in diarrhea.3 packets result in constipation.I have been offered an illiostomy.Regardless of what creams I apply to my rear end the stinging and burning continues and is getting worse.in the sense that there is less letup in the pain. Now should I opt for the illiostomy which would bypass the usual route of elimination even though I would have to empty bags 5 times a day, that would be preferable to the nearly constant stinging and burning which I experience daily.I wonder whether the tissues in my rear end will heal. The surgeons did not tell me that I might have the possible downside of stinging diarrhea in the first place.I think most tissues do heal after the corrosive acids do stop.Does anyone out there think differently and why please?
Nope,no lawsuits,I am interested in pain relief, and getting a doctor to help me do that in a most sensitive part of my body!Should i take the big leap,I want to ,be sure that my rear end will in fact heal!!

Answer by I do care!
An illiostomys a big leap.

Have you tried Zinc cream or even baby barrier cream that is used, contains zinc too, on babies nappy rash?
I ask this because when I had a PEG Tube stomach acid constantly leaked on my skin causing burns. Because zinc is oil based, liquids cannot penetrate it allowing the skin to heal.
If your skin is allowed time to heal the pain will ease.

If the Surgeon didn’t tell you or give you any written information on a complication such as this, then you did not give what is called informed consent. That means that you may have a legal case, although I hate to send you in that direction, I’m an Aussie and we just don’t sue people, but I was in a similar situation to you and still suffer 7.5 years later.

vomiting and diarrhea at the same time {with other symptoms] HELP!?
Okay so I have been in and out of the hospital with abdominal pain, fever, dizziness, weakness, vomiting and diarrhea and so far they have not come back with anything that could be wrong, all tests that they did were fine. They checked for kidney stones, ovarian cysts, twisted ovary and some other issues and they have not come back with a a answer. I am currently awaiting my pelvic exam results, crossing my fingers that they will be okay.

I am also not pregnant.

However I still am having the same symptoms, and it’s getting worse, the pain has stayed the same as it has but the vomiting and diarrhea have gotten worse. Today I had been vomiting on and off all and having diarrhea {green, black and tarry, I am on antibiotics} but then it got so so bad that I was sitting on the toilet one minute, and vomiting the next, both had struck at the same time.

I can’t keep food or drinks down, I can’t keep medicine down {ive had to miss my usual dosing of medicine because of how bad it is, I am too scared to take them right now for fear I will vomit it back up}

I don’t know if I have this terrible stomach flu or what, but I feel absolutely awful, what should I do and what are your opinions on what could it be. {please no rude responses}

thanks!
I don’t do heroin, so its not withdrawls.
I have already had my appendix out and my gallbladder, therefore it isn’t any of those

thanks everyone for your replies!

Answer by Juggalo Ryduh
Heroin withdrawls….I’ve been through them

Answer by Lex
Those are classic flu symptoms but if you’ve been checked, it seems the doctor would have easily come to that conclusion. drink lots of water.

Didn’t the doctors say anything about appendicitis? How long does the pain last? Is it severe? Under the right rib? I just went through the appendicitis gig, turned out to be nothing, But it hurt like heck. Severe pain in the stomach, below the bellie button and moves to the right, diarrhea and vomiting are the 3 symptoms of Appendicitis, the pain has to last longer than 30 mins. If not, could just be super sick. Check it out. They take it serious.
